Upcoming Workshop for Parents and Teachers

Learning how to tell a story is an important pre-literacy skill for young children – but many parents and educators aren’t sure how to encourage this important first step for young creators. Story Studio can help!

Designed for parents and educators working with pre-school aged children, this workshop will take you through award-winning charity Story Studio’s interactive ‘Story Building’ process. This two-hour workshop explains our hands-on process that uses open and engaging tactile materials curated for teaching storytelling skills and building narrative capacity in children ages 4 and up.

Participants will receive our educator’s guide to storytelling, as well as extension activities to explore with learners and the option to sign up for an in-program workshop using our ‘Storybox’ kits with your learners. Please register by November 19th as there are limited spaces available. Please note that there is a $20 fee for this workshop, (financial assistance is available). Workshop takes place at Victoria CCRR office, 2001A Douglas street. Register by completing the online form below (‘Register Now’) or emailing us at info@storystudio.ca
