Guild of Young Writers

The Guild of Young Writers is a growing online community for teen writers (aged 12-17), built to help you develop your creative writing skills and connect with your fellow writers!

In 2026, every month we’ll focus on a different writing theme or tool. Here’s what you can expect from the Guild:

  • Monthly online writing workshop on the second Friday of every month (4 pm – 5:30 pm PT)

  • Access to our ‘Writer’s Room’ through Google Classroom

  • Monthly creative writing prompts and resources for our writing theme/tool

  • Spring / winter blue pencil sessions with author mentors

  • Publication opportunity in our annual Zine release and our year-end online showcase

  • Volunteer opportunities with Story Studio (for our YYJ programs)
