Story Maker: Helping Young Writers Find Their Voice

Story Maker is a hands-on creative writing workshop designed especially for Grades 3–5 classrooms. Over five engaging sessions (totalling five hours), students are guided through the full process of writing, revising, and celebrating their own original stories.

Each student receives a personal workbook to guide their writing journey and a bound “final copy” book — complete with a printed cover featuring their name and an optional author photo!

Through fun writing games and creative challenges, students explore what it means to write with intention — focusing not just on story structure, but on how their words can move and inspire readers. Along the way, they practice editing, illustration, and reflection, learning to see themselves as real writers.

The workshop culminates in an optional celebration of stories, where each young author holds their finished book in hand — and can even contribute a copy to the class library, building a shared collection of imagination and pride.

Story Maker inspires, educates, and empowers — one story at a time.
